Why is he awesome?
because

How is the comic drawn?
I
do some of the stuff in flash, and the rest is by hand. The comic is colored
using photoshop 7.0
How did you get the idea?
A
friend asked me to draw a picture of a clam, I being altruistic, obliged. I
named the clam Sam, and thus this comic was born.
Why does this site look like a jumbled mess?
